The Voluntaryist Philosophy, simplified.

The purpose of this website is to provide a friendly, informative, logically-consistent argument for Voluntaryism that is simple, easy to understand, and applicable to all areas of life.

Voluntaryism is simply the belief that all human relationships should be mutually consensual, or “voluntary”.

Voluntaryists reject the initiation of aggression in all its forms; violence, threats of violence, theft, coercion, fraud, bullying, rape, murder, etc.

Self-defense using physical force is not an initiation of aggression, but rather a reaction to it; therefore, it is morally acceptable to to defend your life, the lives of others, and justly acquired property.

Voluntaryists follow the Non-Aggression Principle, which is a moral principle that “prohibits the initiation of force by one person against another.”

If you are looking for a more thought-out, yet easy to understand summary of this philosophy, I encourage you to read my post entitled Voluntaryism in Simple Terms.
